Drama Digest:
The anime is based on a high schooler Mo Fan who finds himself in a different universe where everything is the same, but there exists magic. There, students go to school to learn magic to protect themselves from a giant beast, who stays in the forest surrounding the city. He is the son of poor labor and an older stepbrother to a disabled sister. Despite these disadvantages, he managed to enter a renowned magic school, but due to lack of money and magical inability he became a laughing stock in school. The story progresses with how he overcomes his hurdles. Quanzhi fashi V is the fifth season based on this above-mentioned manga.
The Feel-Good Part:
The animation in this season is better than the previous season. The main plot is okay type.
Star Power:
Liu and Yuxuan as Mo Fan, Wen and Xiaoyi as Ningxue, Zhu and Jun as Xinxia’s voice artist did their job well.
The Disappointing Factor:
There is a lack of high school drama which was present in previous seasons. As the story progresses, the plot becomes boring. There is no development in Mo Fan’s character. Besides, Mo Fan’s arrogance sometimes makes you angry. The character development is poor in this season. The story didn’t progresses from previous seasons. The OP and ED are also not good.
In-Depth Analysis:
There is not that much to say about this anime. This season is a watered-down version of the manga. There is nothing much depth in this plot. The decision to adapt from this portion of manga seems like a bad idea.
Overall Opinion:
Overall this anime is not enjoyable. Even the fans of this manga are quite disappointed with the fifth season. Every aspect seems to be graded down in this season. However, it is not fully unwatchable but will not meet your expectation.
