Anime Digest

To celebrate the global entertainment franchise’s 25th anniversary, an animated series was produced. The entire known beauty of the Pokémon world will be explored in each episode for the audience. In the opening episode, The Champion, Leon’s ongoing remorse over the Eternatus incident is the main plot of the story. It shows us some understanding of Leon’s emotions following his experience with Eternatus. Leon’s emotions and remorse are effectively conveyed through the animation and his nonverbal cues. The second episode, The Eclipse, is wholly devoted to Lillie and how she develops from a timid, scared child to a more assured, determined adult who is free from the control of her abusive mother. In addition, it provides us with little glimpses of Lillie’s personality change. The Visionary and The Plan, the third and fourth episodes, emphasize the antagonists and provide more context for them. The Rival, the fifth episode, focuses more on Barry’s connection with his father than it does with the player character and features static Pokemon battles and Barry’s less emotional nature. The Wish, the sixth episode, provides information on Zinnia and the origins of Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. The Show, the seventh episode, goes further into the show’s history and broadens its setting. Additionally, it features the clever notion of showcasing the Kimono Girls performing while including Pokemon attacks. The Discovery, the collection’s last episode, strikes the ideal balance between action-packed, humorous, and uplifting.

The Feel-Good Part

Excellent animation was there in the television show. It emphasizes the narrative of each video game generation. It takes the viewers to the Pokemon universe in this miniseries and highlights the key moments. It is incredibly entertaining and especially loved by Pokemon lovers.

The Disappointing Factor

Some viewers are dissatisfied since some of the episodes are similar to the old Pokémon series and do not give insight far enough into specific topics or try to portray certain things that lack explanation. The episode lasts for a relatively little amount of time.
