Anime Digest

Pet is a psychological thriller about a gang known only as “the company,” which employs psychics to wreck their enemies’ minds. Those with psychic powers in the company refer to their strengths as using an “image.” They can use it to invade other people’s minds, alter memories, and even “crush” them, putting the victim in a state of confusion. The company established “pets” and “handlers”. Here “pets” refer to psychics controlled by someone in the company. There are also “babies,” which are pets that cannot function on their own. Members of the company who do not have an image can utilize the image.

The Feel-Good Part

The anime production is outstanding; all of the materials developed to offer the illusion of the mind according to work are remarkable; it is easy to comprehend the mysticism that occurs due to the anime script, which maintains a good evolution until the final episodes.

The Disappointing Factor

The narrative bombards you with so much information at a go that it is somewhat burdening often. Hence, the audience might lose interest. But whoever sticks till the end is legendary. The story is worth pursuing.

In-Depth Analysis

It is a classic psychological thriller like other such animes, with abundant information about the anime universe and setting. It eventually gets stressful and difficult to keep track of all the new information. The complex ending is also very detailed. Otherwise, the anime has a lot to offer in terms of delivery, action, thrill and suspense. The plot doesn’t stop for a bit and continues with its speed, so it becomes tough to keep up with the story. However, the most challenging part is understanding the concept of “image” through the animation which, again, the animators have done a fantastic job of portraying accurately and precisely.

Star Power

The ensemble is too perfect.

Overall Opinion

It has a unique plot and is superior to all the other fantastic psychological thriller. A must-watch!
