Anime Digest

Leon, an office worker, gets reincarnated into an especially severe dating sim video game, where women rule & only the most attractive males are allowed to sit on the table. But Leon has a secret weapon. He recalls everything from his previous existence, including a full play through of the game in which he is currently confined. Watch as Leon ignites a revolution to transform this new society so that he can achieve his ultimate goal of enjoying a peaceful, carefree life in the countryside.

The Feel-Good Part

It’s a lot of fun to watch the main character. He flips everything he’s meant to be upside down. He’s trash talking while he’s supposed to be afraid.

He’s disgusted when he’s supposed to be meek, and he has a “I don’t give a shit” feel that you’ll want to see in a main character.

The Disappointing Factor

It’s excruciating to watch the anime adaption. It appears to be a low-cost adaption aimed solely at promoting the LN/Manga. They soften the character design (too much) in comparison to manga. The characters who oppose the Main character are also irritating, therefore it fulfils the bare minimum of character requirements. The art and animation are of poor quality.

There isn’t enough information on gacha, supernatural powers, and so forth.

In-Depth Analysis

A regular man is blackmailed into completing a dating simulator set in a matriarchal society, and he must endure the harsh and perplexing world until he clears the game. He ultimately beats it after several days of grinding, but his obsessive gaming comes at a price: terrible lack of sleep and hunger.

While on his way to the convenience store to handle one of these issues, the man trips and falls down the steps, only to awaken to the worst imaginable news: he has been reborn into the game as the gangster character Leon Fou Bart fort.

Star Power

Leon, the primary character, is what makes it a fun read. He’s a wonderful blend of an Naofumi (Shield Hero) who despises the world and the situation he’s been thrust into and a Kazuma-like (Konosuba) character. It makes for a practical asshole type figure that you can’t help but root for, but in the anime, many of the small details that help build up that character have been removed, leaving him seeming empty in comparison to his Manga and Light Novel counterparts.

Overall Opinion

This is a fascinating and intriguing Isekai that could be even better, but it’s still a fantastic production that deserves to be seen. If you don’t want to watch the anime, you can read the manga instead. What really stands out is the air of mystery and intrigue that the show creates with its plot pieces. When it comes to twists and turns, a good anime knows when to use them.
