Anime Digest

An unnamed gamer wakes to find himself in an armored skeletal form in the game world, where he encounters a group of bandits attempting to rape two women. The gamer, using his weapons, fights them off and introduces himself to the two women, Lauren and her maid, as Arc. Despite his frightening appearance, he befriends a fox in the first episode by releasing him from a cage using magic, who then follows him around. Arc later learns about the enslavement of elves in the land and frees them from the town’s castle. He eventually reveals his secret skeletal identity to Araine, the elf, and sets off to explore the fantastical land.

The Feel-Good Part

The anime has various unpretentious tales glorifying the heroic central character, Arc. He uses his powers for the betterment of the land that remains unknown to him without any ifs and buts. Gaikotsu kishi-sama TAdaima Isekai e Odekakechuu takes up a modest approach to an otherwise ordinary narrative. The viewer is familiar with the storyline, and hence, this makes up for a relaxing show to watch.

The Disappointing Factor

Gaikotsu kishi-sama TAdaima Isekai e Odekakechuu has zero originality, with a boring plot and characters. Arc seems questionably ready for his new life without any concerns and doubts. The protagonist is a happy-go-lucky guy and quickly accepts his new reality, which shows a lack of personality. A few viewers also describe the show as “illogical”.

In-Depth Analysis

In the initial episode, protection from sexual rape and assault is introduced as the first good deed by the protagonist. The show also contains violence and profanity, but most importantly focuses on friendship and justice. It doesn’t have a complex plot or characterization and has an overall simple story with a tad bit of plot twists.

Star Power

The voice of the protagonist, Arc, is given by Maeno, Tomoaki, and Waki, Fairouz, Ai is the voice behind Glenys Lalatoya, Ariane. Hieda, Nene is the voice of Ponta and Ishida, Akira and Takanashi, Kengo are a few of the other voice actors of the supporting characters. We overall applaud the animation and audio sync.

Overall Opinion

Gaikotsu kishi-sama TAdaima Isekai e Odekakechuu is a feel-good anime with brilliant writing and an engaging plot. It also adds hints of a few superficial scenes and thoughtful anecdotes. The protagonist fights for the elves despite their bad reputation and protects the citizens from harassment without thinking twice about the risks and consequences. This adds morale to the anime, which makes it worth watching at least once. However, the story has no unexceptional turn of events, which makes it just like any other anime.
