Drama digest:

This is a regular romance story between a woman name Ryo and her firefighter friend, Souma. Both of them go from being childhood friends to being a couple. This is the second season of the series.

The feel-good factor:

The graphics of the series are pretty good. The sex scenes have been intelligently animated. Season 2 is mainly similar to the first season, apart from a few things like the introduction of an ex-lover, which is both interesting and annoying. Introduction of the other members of Souma’s firefighting squad has been made.

The disappointing factor:

A big downside of the story is there’s an awful lot of sex going on. The love story of the two leads begins with sex. Moreover, their first sexual intercourse was non-consensual, which is disappointing. The sex continues in the second season as well. In this season, there is an immature move of bringing back an ex-lover into the story, which is the easiest way of making the audience lose their interest and gives the show the chance to become toxic.

In-depth analysis:

Ryō Fujihashi, a 24-year-old regular office worker, is the female protagonist of the series. She and the male protagonist, Souma Mizuno, are childhood friends. Souma is a Womanizer by nature and a firefighter by profession. He likes to flirt with every woman he can get his hands on.  On the other hand, Ryo is trying to set him up with a friend of hers. Lesser does she know that Souma is no more interested in anyone but her. Later in the story, it unfolds that Souma has always had eyes for Ryo. But Ryo had never romantically thought of Souma. One day, a fire breaks suddenly, and Ryo’s apartment, and, Souma comes to her rescue. He takes advantage of the situation to seduce Ryo into liking him back. Ryo has always doubted why Souma never likes the girls she sets up with. But after the fire incident, as Souma rescues her and even provides her a shelter to live in, she realizes that there was something else going on. Souma has never been good at expressing his feelings directly, so he uses sex as a way of communicating his feelings to Ryo. After having sex for the first time, Ryo becomes apprehensive about Souma’s personality. She starts questioning Souma’s sudden feelings for her. But as time passes, Ryo starts to get sexually attracted to Souma as she finds his personality, handsome and hot. In this way, their intimate and spicy love story continues.

Star power:

Like some series, there’s no specific character who shined their way through the series. There was an introduction to a lot of characters and every one of them was decently negative as well as positive.

Overall review:

Apart from a lot of sex, there are other ups and downs to Souma’s and Ryo’s relationship, just like any other relationship, so it’s interesting to watch if someone is looking for something spicy.
