Bakuten!! is a Japanese anime that is also known as ‘Backflip!!.’ It is an original series that aired from April 2021 to June 2021. The plotline tells the story of Shotaro Futaba, who is a sports enthusiast but not too good at it. He witnesses the practice of a group of gymnasts in a park. Fascinated, he decides to watch the gymnastics tournament. Amazed by the skills of the gymnast, Shotaro Futaba decides to enroll himself at Shoushukan, hoping to join the team someday. Although he doesn’t have any history in the sport, he gets recruited along with a new member named Ryoya Misato, an ace in the sport. The team, along with the newly added members, prepare for the upcoming tournament.
The Feel-Good Part
The storyline is original and very intriguing, the sports genre lovers would indeed enjoy watching this anime. The production quality of the anime is top-notch. The direction of the anime is praise-worthy, accompanied by a very seamless screenplay. The characters are well written, and the character development is excellent. The soundtrack of the anime complements the series. The humor of the anime is one of the most fun aspects out of the many.

The inclusion of CGI might not be liked by many, and this is the only disappointing factor of Bakuten!!.

The character of Shoutarou Futaba is voiced by Shinba Tsuchiya, Ryouya Misato by Kaito Ishikawa, and Mashiro Tsukiyuki by Ayumu Murase. The supporting cast includes voice actors such as Hiroshi Shimono, Takashi Kondou, Daisuke Ono, Ayane Sakura, and many more.

It doesn’t have any complicated storyline but a simple one that will leave you feeling many different emotions. The art and animation, along with its soundtrack, are the icing on top.
