Drama Digest

“Thousand Autumns” is a Wuxia-style story. Shen Qiao, the chief disciple of Mount Xuandu, falls off a cliff and almost dies. Yan Wushi, the vicious leader of the Huan Yue sect, saves him. Shen Qiao follows a life led by ethics, while Yan Wushi is evil and cunning. Yan Wushi plans on turning Shen Qiao into a vengeful cultivator. Will Shen Qiao be able to resist the corrupt world that constantly puts his ethics to the test?

The Feel-Good Part

The animation looks excellent during some scenes. This story is very entertaining, and the soundtrack is incredibly catchy. The relationship between Shen Qiao and Yan Wushi is very pleasing.

The Disappointing Factor

The disappointing thing about this animation is that it is 3D. This is not a big deal, but for those who watch 2D anime, this might feel strange, and it goes on at a rushed pace.

The chemistry between the leads is unparalleled. Everything is great, but the 3D version might be off-putting for viewers who watch anime.

Xia Lei and Wu Lei did an excellent job doing the voice-overs of Shen Xiao and Yan Wushi.

Overall, this animation is outstanding, except for the pacing. It has an entertaining story with fun characters. The fight scenes are well made. Despite a few flaws, it is excellent. It is worth watching.
