Drama Digest

Tomorrow’s Party brings back all four seasons of the Coming On into one concert. The coming one focuses on bringing new idols with deep values into the mainstream, and in their four seasons, they have managed to do that with their cast of characters. The four seasons come together in this special to give you something more. We get to know these idols more. We get to learn what they have been doing since their last appearance on the show. How they’ve grown in talent, what it’s like to be an idol, and so much more. The show continues to convey that anyone can become an idol with the right amount of discipline and determination. And with these two factors in mind, they give us a feast and a concert you will never forget. What happens when you bring four seasons’ worth of reality TV competitors under one roof? Watch the show and find out.

The Feel-Good Part

The Coming One series was never a series that just pumped out idols. It looked deep into what it meant to be an idol in this day and age. It looked at the survival of their careers and how much it would take for them to make it and hit the mainstream. What makes this unique so great is we finally get to see the fruits of the seeds that the show has planted. It gives us an excellent look into their lives, what they’ve been doing, and where they are likely to go in the future. Perhaps, the thing that makes this particular so good is the family concert, an opportunity to see the talents of all who are a part of The Coming One family. It is truly a fun experience and a fantastic recap show.

The Disappointing Factor

Any episode that crosses 3 hours is going to raise a few eyebrows. It’s no secret that the episode length is considerable. It will be hard for people to pay attention and truly enjoy everything the show offers within a time frame like that. Perhaps an error in this episode is that the cast is enormous. While The Coming series delved into the lives of these idols, this recap show can not. Even with its lengthy runtime, it is not sufficient enough to encapsulate the lives of everyone in the cast.

In-Depth Analysis

A lot of times, a winner or a contestant’s relevance lasts as long as their season. If the contestants were to come back, it would be to participate in an All-Stars season. Tomorrow’s Party, however, does something very different and exciting. It brings everyone together for a family-style portrait that showcases everything the show has done for the people involved. It gives the idols a chance to relieve their days on reality TV and the audience to enjoy them all at once.

Star Power

Wayne Zhang reprises his role as the host this season. The actor, who graduated from the Shanghai Theater Academy of Broadcasting and Hosting, has had several years of experience as a host, guest, and participant in several TV shows, including the prequel to Tomorrow’s Party; The Coming One series, It Sounds Incredible, Roast: Season 5, Our Daughter’s Boyfriend, Super Premiere, and much more. He has also starred in two dramas, Lookism and Happy Mitan. The show also brings back its iconic casts. From season 1, we have Mao Bu Yi, Victor Ma, Koss Zhao, R1SE, Zhong Zixuan, and HeZ. From season 3, we have Zhang Yuqi, SIS, which comprises Pam, Veegee, Hong Yinou, Feng Xiyao, Li Zelong, and Baibai. Season 4 has the most extensive cast compared to the previous three seasons, with four groups; Air Luck Alliance/Qiyun League, Nap Phonograph, Fruit Planet, and Galazy Orchestra/Milky Way. Air Luck Alliance comprises Hu Yuting, Tian Hongjie, Li Runqi, Ma Zhe, and Zhao Ke. Nap Phonograph includes Shen Zhengbo, Liao Juntao, Liu Yang, and Ju Yiming. Overall Opinion

What comes from this chaotic 3-hour, 30-minute special is a great concert, a chance to see how much the Coming One family has grown and how they are doing in the field. It is a fun watch and a great way to fall in love with the newer generation of Chinese pop idols.
