Each episode gives us a new opportunity to laugh out loud and for the contestants to give us everything they got. Who will rise to the occasion and deliver comedy gold? Who will falter and fall short? And who will be crowned the Stand-up Kind/ Queen? Watch this epic comedic masterpiece unfold as you watch Rock & Roast season 4. The comedy never stops and never gets stale.

The Feel-Good Part

Comedy shows are some of the greatest forms of reality tv. Rock & Roast is no exception. Some great moments in this show occur during comedy sets, during the interactions with audiences, and the interactions with the hosts. Every single aspect of this show is just filled to the brim with comedy. There is a great sense of direction this season and the change in format does help a lot. While some shows might see a change in format as a detriment to the show and would see it as a way that audiences would not be able to understand what is going on, the show can make its format change wonderfully and works it to its advantage. Overall, the show has a great sense of humor to it. There are some wonderful moments that you enjoy no matter what your sense of humor is. If you do not enjoy the comedy styles of one artist, you will surely be able to find the other ones funny.

The Disappointing Factor

Comedy is subjective and standup comedy is often hit-or-miss. There may be areas where you will be offended but by understanding that it is all in good fun, you will truly be able to enjoy this program and all that it has to offer. As mentioned earlier, the change in format does help the show be simplistic but for long-time fans of the show, it does feel missed, especially with the more quirky additions in the earlier seasons. The runtime is one of the disappointing factors of the show as it has a 2-hour runtime. Comedy is best enjoyed in bite-sized pieces and with a two-hour runtime, it does tend to get a bit stale.

In-Depth Analysis

With its fourth season, Rock & Roast is a perfect example of a show adapting itself to the times and creating great TV. Through several changes in each season, we can enjoy the same comedy as well as a fresh new take on the format each season. It naturally affects the continuity and charm of the original series but it makes up for it with great comedic stylings and moments.

With great comedy and an overall stellar show, it is definitely worth watching this show. The runtime might be a lot but within those 2 hours, you get nonstop comedy.
