The story starts when Yeong woo loses his daughter in a car accident. Yeong woo is devastated at his loss and is not getting over this terrible incident. Yeong woo is also a film director. After the accident, weird incidents happen with Yeong woo involving his daughter, which leads him to not differentiate between reality and a movie. Yeong woos slowly loses himself as he keeps seeing a mysterious woman. He cannot tell if the woman is real or a part of his imagination. The movie shows the mystery behind what is happening to Yeong woo and if it ends well for him or not. This movie is a psychological thriller dealing with a grieving parent.

The nightmare is one of a kind movie. It shows what a parent goes through when they lose their child. They feel intense emotions like guilt, fear, and helplessness. The movie gives importance to psychological aspects like trauma and grief. Aside from all of this, the film has a lot of intrigues because the entire plot is unusual.

Yeong woo’s psychological condition deteriorates to the point where he struggles to distinguish between reality and dreams. Since the film is from yeong woo’s point of view, the audience might sometimes have trouble following what is happening.

Oh Ji Ho plays the role of Yeong Woo. The actor does a phenomenal job portraying a parent. His performance conveys the sorrow that his character is experiencing. His acting significantly improves the film.
