Movie Digest

The story revolves around a university student Kaede Tabata who is very introverted and a nerd. One day he meets a girl named Hisano Akiyoshi at the class who is also a student in the same university. But Hisano Akiyoshi is way more introverted and nerd than Kaede Tabata and is an idealist girl too. She used to talk about less violence, no hatred, and also wanted the concept of the bully to be over, and there must be peace and love around. As they both had the same personality and shared the same ideology, Kaede Tabata and Hisano Akiyoshi decided to build a secret club, and they named it Moai. The main motive of that club was to change the world. However, the story takes a turn when Kaede Tabata finds that Hisano Akiyoshi has disappeared. Slowly the reason of the club changes, and it becomes the club for finding jobs, and the club gets larger. But one day, Kaede Tabata gets fades up and decides to leave the club, but suddenly, he realizes what the actual mission of their club was then he finally decides to take the club back to the original motive for which he and Hisano Akiyoshi made the club.

The Feel-Good Part

The moment when they both realized their motive and built the secret club, Moai was a good part because they both dreamt of changing the world and removing all the negativities like war, bullying, and hatred from the world.

The best part of the drama is when although Hisano Akiyoshi had left, Kaede Tabata continued his club and didn’t close it no matter if for a while, the motive of the club got changed to job finding club, but I think that was the main reason the club Moai got larger. After a time, when he gets fades up and decides to leave, eventually he realizes the mission for which they started the club and then decides to take the club to its original mission.

The Disappointing Factor

Everything seemed to be ok until Hisano Akiyoshi disappeared one day, and she didn’t even specify the reason to Kaede Tabata for which she was leaving. At least the reason behind her disappearance should have been shown for some valid reason and converting from the main motive of the club as shown in the drama as a reason for which one had to leave, she should have been discussed with kaede Tabata about it but she didn’t she left. Hisano Akiyoshi’s sudden disappearance must have made Kaede Tabata feel confused.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama is directed by Shunsuke Kariyama, and the story revolves around a less social, and idealistic youth who started a secret club named Moai with the motive to change the world by omitting the negativities and adding positivity to the world.

Star Power

Hana Sugisaki(Hisano Akiyoshi) and Ryo Yoshizawa(Kaede Tabata) acted so well as teenagers who are introverted and idealistic and start a secret club with a positive motive to change the world.

Overall Opinion

For all those teens who watch Japanese dramas, this drama is highly preferable because it shows how two teens initiate to change the world positively.
