Drama Digest

“ARIA The CREPUSCOLO” revolves around the members of Orange Planet. Neo-Venezia. Anya, from Orange Planet. Her senior Alice, and Athena haven’t seen each other. With Ai and Azusa’s help. Alice and Athena get together.

The Feel-Good part

The characters were portrayed well and the inclusion of the new trio was well done. The backstory that was added through flashbacks increased the cohesion of the story for the series as a whole and improved its quality.  The audio was enjoyable and the music was as soothing as before. The art was very well done. The artists and developers did a great job of making the scene, animations, and transitions beautiful without tearing the viewers away from the story.

The Disappointing Part

The anime certainly could not meet the expectations raised by the manga. As a usual slice-of-life anime, it has its unnecessary and unnatural moments. Some critics mentioned specific scenarios as artificial tension or fake drama to garner the viewer’s sympathy. A majority of anime enthusiasts expect adventure, and actions, which the show failed to give. The movie and series are too slow and lack action and adventure elements.

In-depth analysis

The story takes place during autumn in the city of Neo-Venezia. Something is bothering Anya, who works at Orange Planet. Her senior colleagues Alice and Athena haven’t seen each other due to their busy schedules.  Athena feels sad about it. But for some reason, Alice seems to be avoiding her. With her friends Ai and Azusa’s help, Anya tries to find a definitive way for Alice and Athena to get together. But during this time, Anya learns of a situation that only she can see because of where she stands.

Star Power

JC Staff that took over the production of the final two Aria movies did an excellent job with the character designs. The new designs and animation provided some of the most beautiful moments of the Aria series. JC Staff delivered on all the impactful scenes and had consistent, stunning visuals.

Overall Opinion

If you enjoy watching slice-of-life Aria the Crepuscolo will be perfect. It can be a great comfort to watch in your spare hours. Although it blurred the line between fantasy and reality, Aria sends heart-warming messages and encourages people.
