The story revolves around a 25-year-old budding actress, Shina Ryoko, recently selected for a role in a TV series. As she was traveling back to her hometown this summer, she was asked by her agency to break up with her boyfriend, who happens to be a famous gambler, Muraki Junji. The agency leaves her with the option of either parting ways with her boyfriend or letting go of the role. Ryoko, who is an orphan, has no one else other than Muraki, who also helped her to pursue her acting career. Now it is up to her to choose between love and her Tokyo dreams.

The Feel Good Part

The way the movie showcases urban loneliness and themes of solitude is fascinating to watch. It could have been more appealing if the plot was more robust, but it was an excellent attempt to touch on such themes.

Kitamura Yui as Ryoko is a perfect fit for the role as her appearance is so gloomy and mysterious. Those traits are demanded of the character, and Yui delivers them with utmost perfection. She plays the character so well that one might feel connected to her as if they knew her personally.

This film is suitable for a one-time watch, the reason being its plot. You can play this film in the background or watch it seriously, depending upon you. However, the actress in the movie has done an excellent job with her role, so it is a bit interesting to watch.
