Movie Digest
Hai Lan Zhu is a dragon who can control water and she can bring rain with her tears. She enters the mortal realm with the goal of letting the rainfall. She meets Lu Hai Shen at the dragon king’s temple, he is there on a mission to solve a case. Zhu cleverly sticks to him to stay by his side as she doesn’t know much about the mortal realm. She becomes the target of all kinds of demons due to her precious eyes.
The Feel-Good Part
The visuals and CGI are good. Lan Zhu is cute and playful which makes it more likable. The story is very pleasing despite not having a happy ending. The female lead’s personality made me fall for her. She is not dumb like most of the female leads who forgive the scumbags even after they caused them misery.
The Disappointing Factor
The character of the male lead is really disappointing, like all the male leads he has a bad personality which hurt the heroine but the female lead is strong and not dumb enough to forgive him.
In-Depth Analysis
Hai Lan Zhu is a dragon princess who can bring rain with her tears. Her father especially sends her to solve the rain problem in the mortal realm. She enters the mortal realm to solve the problem of rainfall. She meets Lu Hai Shen, a government official at the dragon king’s temple, he is there on a mission to solve a case regarding the murder which takes place in order to get the eyes that will not rot. Zhu cleverly sticks to him to stay by his side as she doesn’t know much about the mortal realm. She becomes the target of all kinds of demons due to her dragon eyes. They both end up falling in love, but in the end Zhu goes back home without staying with the male lead as she gives him enough chances. He treats her badly due to misunderstandings but that doesn’t justify him hurting her, she gives him enough chances but he failed to keep her trust.
Star Power
Zhu Zixiao and Zhu Shegyi did an excellent job portraying their characters along with the supporting cast.
Overall Opinion
This movie makes us get over the opinion that only happy endings make a good story the ending is satisfying. The chemistry between leads is adorable and overall it is worth watching.
