Movie Digest
The story is about Yan Chi Xia who is a demon hunter. Around a year ago he killed the fox demon with the help of his family. But, unexpectedly his younger sister whose name is Jiang Xue turns into a fox demon because of the venom present in the demon’s body, and due to the nature of that demon inside the venom she gets involved in more fighting with Yan Chi Xia. Very soon after those dangerous incidents of frequent fighting and misunderstandings, the siblings turn into worst enemy. Their enmity is now continuing for two generations. Where Yan Chi Xia keeps on killing the demons all time everywhere, his sister Jiang Xue slowly turns into a nine tailed Fox Shei Si Rou.
The Feel Good Pary
The feel good part of the movie is when Yan Chi Xia continues as demon hurter even after his own sister turns into venomous demon. In order to save humanity, he didn’t even back stepped from fighting with his own sister who later turns into a demon for the sake of saving others from demon.
The Disappointing Factor
The disappointing factor is the film shows the protagonist’s sister turning into an antagonist. When Yan was always with goodness, his own sister turns into a demon and become evil. This film also shows two siblings fighting against each other ruining the sweet relation of a brother and sister because Jiang not only turned into demon but also get into a fighting with her own brother.
In-Depth Analysis
The story is written by Chou Mingjia, and directed by Cheng Zhonghao, and Kai Wang. The drama is a perfect blend of action, drama, and fiction. You can’t avoid getting emotional after seeing two siblings fighting against each other. The moment when the siblings were fighting was so exciting. This film also teaches us not to quit goodness for the sake of your loved ones, and also teaches us not to leave supporting goodness, and humanity even if we have to leave our loved ones. The same action is taken by the protagonist when he chooses to support goodness and fights against his sister to save others from his sister when she wreaks havoc.
Star Power
This film is starred by Ashton Chen (Yan Chi Xia), and Raquel Xu (Shen Si Rou) in lead role and Alen Fang (Xia Ling Feng), Ken Lok ( Gu Tu), Waise Lee (nine tailed fox demon), and many others in supportive role. Everybody did their role very perfectly but few times Ashton Chen did over acting making the role more artificial and was also unable to give expression at few scenes.
Overall Opinion
For those who watch Asian movies frequently and love the action and fiction genre movie, this movies is highly recommendable.
