Drama Digest

Hope, a farmer with just grade 4 knowledge, is regarded as the most honest person in the three realms, which sets off the chaotic plot. He swaps bodies with Pakproom, the senior executive of the nation. When the owner of Thai Farm Corporation Integrated Agriculture, a proud young businessman, chose to sign a contract with an American company, he unleashed chaos. He had no idea that this joint venture would spell doom for the Thai rice sector. This was problematic since, as a result of the arrangement, foreigners would now own the entire Thai rice sector, thereby putting an end to it. In order to produce rice for outsiders, the farmers would be treated like slaves. As a result, the Goddess Kwan Kao was dispatched to assist in the realm of humans.

The Feel-Good Part

The drama excels in the comedy department and leaves no room for error. It has great comedic aspects that will leave one laughing out loud. Furthermore, it does wonderfully in the drama aspect as well. And the script is well written to draw out most of the story in the form of dialogues and directing.

The Disappointing Factor

The only disappointing factors are the story, the acting, and the character development. Firstly, the story has no depth and is very loosely tied together with random scenes and changes in order to make it look as if there is something to the story. Secondly, the acting is average at the most. At times, it appears over-the-top, and the actors appear inexperienced, which undermines the entire point of the story being portrayed, which might as well remain a book. Thirdly, there is no character arch, which might have carried the entire drama series and fails in this aspect as well.

In-Depth Analysis

The drama follows the chaos surrounding Hope. He is a farmer with the knowledge equivalent to that of a fourth grader. He is known for his honesty. He later swaps bodies with Pakproom, who is the senior executive of the nation. More chaos ensued when Thai Farm Corporation Integrated Agriculture decided to sign a contract with an American company. Unbeknownst to him, such a contract would spell danger for the Thai rice industry. This is so because the contract allows for the foreigners to own the entire Thai rice industry, and the farmers would be treated as slaves who would be required to work on the whims and fancies of the foreigners. As a result, the Goddess Kwan Kao was dispatched to assist in the realm of humans and resolve all the chaos that was caused as a result of this swap.

Star Power

The performances by Mickey Swiss Techaphuwanon as Phakphum, Kong Sorawit Suboon as Khwamwang, and Mona Amolrada Chaiyadej as Khwankhao [Goddess] are well done as the main cast of the series. Athianantasak as Fahmai, Forjune Kanokkarn Chulthongas Nuna, Noom Santisuk Promsirias as Sommai, Tum Rossarin Jantra as Saijai, Kluay Chernyimas as Jadet, and Wayne Falconer as Ped [Chief], as well as the other supporting cast members, give their all.

Overall Opinion

This drama might as well be skipped out on unless you enjoy Thai dramas with quirky acting and plots.
