Drama Digest

Pi is helpless of not being confident enough to go in front of the hottest student of the Allied Health Science Department, for whom he has a crush. Then, Duean and his friends help him get a makeover and that boosts his confidence. When he finally gets the guts to meet, he is crossed with his love rival, Mork. Pi surpasses Mork in every situation but is not lucky in this case, as he always comes in between. Things get complicated when Pi starts to like Mork.

The Feel-Good Part

The friendship and love shown between Pi and Mork is very pure and intentional. They both support and care for each other and have always been on each other’s side when the times have been negative for them. Pi was in a bad spot and wanted love and attention for surviving and thriving in his life from his crush when suddenly Mork came and changed his life. Being challenging and successful didn’t come in the way of them being deep-rooted, and attached to their loved ones. It is a beautiful story.

The Disappointing Factor

The story becomes meaningless and dull at a certain limit when the scene between Pi and Mork becomes repetitive. It is absurd to do, and it also doesn’t make sense. The acting and production could’ve been better with more characters and more scenarios to show. The series is concise, and doesn’t succeed in giving the show complete closure and it feels incomplete to provide less screen time. The show does get dreadful and unsatisfactory at some parts, which is unacceptable when a show has such a lovely story.

In-Depth Analysis

This story showcases the real and actual life of a young man dealing with low self-esteem and lack of confidence in his skin, where he is stuck in his life and its issues. All the highs, lows, struggles, and pain is shown in the series. While Mork is coming into new life patterns, this segment portraying his pains, rushes and intimidating moments look real and honest. His life of living with Pi due to this is also highlighted, where the usual struggles and pain is shown nicely. Despite having a tough time dealing with his life issues, they always keep his head high and he lives a life being positive and optimistic.

Star Power

The actors, whether main or supporting, is doing a great job in showcasing the emotions of the characters. They seem to have good chemistry, and there are no push and pull scenes and no such mean characters, which changes the plot twists and creates no drama. Both the main characters had their charm. While Pi is more meek and shy, tired with her life at present and wishes to run away, Mork is a bold, confident and energized tough guy determined to help Pi succeed in his life. The character development works for the plotline.

Overall Opinion

A friendship story that inspires the audience. A worthwhile watch!
