Drama Digest

“Flash wedding” also known as “Wiwa Fah Laep” is a Thai rom-com series. It revolves around the lives of Pokpong and Lalin. The man is a wealthy province man, while the female is a socialite.

The Feel-Good Part

This show is a lovely work of romance and comedy. The show is light and entertaining but also includes serious topics such as a family heirloom, a family driven by patriarchal norms, contract marriage, and revenge as well. Although a rom-com, it also has a decent amount of suspense without ruining the fun. The unique thing about the show was, they do not show the villains winning till the end, instead, the male lead Pokpong was always a few steps ahead of the villains from the beginning till the end. It was an extreme satisfaction as we watch the lead couple tramping over the villains and ultimately getting them punished. The plot was simple and included no Love triangles to stress the viewers. The story had a slow-burn romance, as we can see the two leads growing together and learning more about each other. It is a story that everyone can follow and is easily understandable. There is action, suspense, plot twists, romance, comedy, and whatnot.

The Disappointing Factor

The low budget for the show will be the only disappointing factor as it brought less popularity to the show.

In-Depth Analysis

Pokpong’s profession is that of a male dancer. Lalin is the daughter of a rich family. She meets Pokpong at her friend’s bachelorette party and it accidentally becomes a one-night stand. After the incident, she hires him. Pokpong had to marry her for a few months so that everyone believes she can have a husband. And so that her family will consider her worthy of becoming the “heiress” to her father’s company. Things were simple in the beginning, but as they spend time together, Pokpong discovers more about Lalin. The two become close and undergo a series of events together.

Star Power

Tono Phakin played the role of Pokpong excellently. His attractive nature has brought much recognition to the show. His character was gentlemanly and expressed his feelings openly. Pooklook Fonthip, who played Lalin, was a perfect complement to Pokpong’s role. She was rational and fought the bad guys along with Pokpong. And Ak Akarat deserves a special mention for his role as a villain. He did a remarkable job of manipulation and planning.

 Overall Opinion

This is a simple light-hearted show that does not need significant concentration to understand the plot. The romance is heartwarming, and the humor is also top-notch. It is a good investment.
