Drama Digest

No Chak Hee, is an ace attorney at a law firm and she was willing to do anything to win a case and all set to receive a promotion. But there arises a problem in case she accepts the promotion. She got suspended for a year because of the case. Then she began to work as a public defender hoping that she would return to her position at the law firm. As a public defender, she shared office with Jwa Shi Baek, a fellow public defender. Jwa Shi Baek is a top graduate of the Judicial Research and training institute. He worked as a public defender instead of becoming a judge, prosecutor, or attorney. He has a mysterious part of his personal life that no one knows about. No Chak Hee and Jwa Shi Baek don’t get well together, but a murder case, brought them together. As they solve the case more secrets unfold, and they trust each other more.

The Feel-good Part

The lead couple’s personality was endearing. They clashed funnily. They learned from each other. As per the first part, they had amazing chemistry. The mystery felt a bit draggy, but the overall scheme was innovative and acceptable.

The Disappointing Factor

The middle part was a bit draggy. Some of the characters could have been written well. There was a lot of potential in some characters were not fully utilized. The drama didn’t have a mind-blowing plot or characters but it was okay.

The story was based on a book with real cases that were written by Jeong Hye Jin, a public defender. The intro gave a unique stylization of the drama orbit. The storyline was driven by a powerful perspective. The drama was delving into an excruciating journey toward revenge. The leads had attractive chemistry. The ending was poetic. It was a fantastic law drama. The story was slowly built and it hints to the viewers about what will happen next.

The cast was top-level and delivered outstanding performances. The female lead is a perfect fit for her role. The supporting cast was good and offered engaging performances.

Overall Opinion

The drama was surprisingly intriguing that dragged the audience into a dark story that ended emotionally. The small cases were connected to a big case, and were all enjoyable. The plot was smartly written, and it will make you doubt who the murderer is. In short, the story made sense.
