Drama Digest-
The young duke becomes dangerous for his own family by having the power of killing anything he touches, for which he is sent for isolation. Rob, the butler, and Alice, the maid, keep his company, where the duke falls for Alice. He becomes determined to break away from his curse for the sake of their relationship.
The Feel-good Part-
The screenplay of the story is exciting and different. The characters are well executed with fine dialogues and good direction. A perfect blend of action, horror, thrill, and romance, it promises the viewer of a wholesome experience. It’s not unique for maids and masters to fall in love in stories but from this story, we witness the unorthodox relationship of Bocchan and Alice.
The Disappointing Factor-
Despite being unique, this story loses focus in some episodes. It goes out of context and confuses the viewer. The series didn’t prepare the character wisely to take them beyond just a relationship between the duke and his maid, it made it look superficial and flashy. It’s hard to understand the relationship completely. That’s where this anime needs improvement and it became strange the length of the show isn’t enough.
In-Depth Analysis-
Inspired by the literary series of “Shinigami Bocchan to Kuro Maid,” this series shows the duke of a timid and nervous behavior falling in love with Alice, an outgoing girl. It focuses on showcasing Bocchan and Alice’s relationship as an uncanny match in an odd situation. However, Alice’s personality goes deeper than just what we see. She truly cares about Bocchan. In fact, their relationship is built on trust from the very start.
Star Power-
The duke is obnoxious and upset with the fate he meets of being in isolation all his life until Alice changes his life. Alice is extroverted and pompous, making her attractive to the duke, and ultimately, he falls in love with her. His curse comes in between their love, which brings in his sincere efforts to be with Alice. Zain has a playful personality. It is definitely a unique addition to the cast. He always freely expresses himself.
Overall Opinion-
The series is worth seeing, it will touch the hearts of its viewers.
