Drama Digest

Kusakabe Eiji is meant to join the Hikikomori Section or the Safety Division’s General Affairs Section 2 of the Criminal Division, he is going due to the injury he got in an accident. This section has mainly the socially withdrawn officials, and it has an alarming labour shortage. A lady visits the department and asks them to find her fiance. Another, a dead body is found to be Yamagishi Ryohei, a representative of a major IT company. They found out that Yamagishi Ryohei was the missing fiance of the lady, and he had conducted various marriage scams and betrayals. The Hikikomori Section is responsible for finding the truth behind this conspiracy.

The Feel-Good Part

A drama with just one episode of around 108 min long, it is a short and bite-sized drama that explains and explores every sector of the story. Being long makes it exciting to watch and accessible for viewers. The enchanting story of Kusakabe Eiji finding a new kind of love with the department he is meant to be working in is very refreshing to watch. There are significant misunderstandings and problems between the two main characters, who are too the victims of the horrible crime, which root down to their life values. Love can be found again, and the healing from past and present pains has become easier ever since for everyone.

The Disappointing Factor

The ending of the story is rushed with no comfortable closure given to the series, mainly because of the short screen time of the show. The story’s theme is slightly triggering for viewers, as most viewers can’t see someone like the female lead, Sakura Momota, struggle so much and worry for her fiance, unknowingly that he cheats on people. The music is also disappointing and not prominent in the 108 min episode. It is not worth watching again. The ending ruins the complete fun of watching the entire series. Some scenes are inappropriate and unnecessary. Some scenes are way too graphic.

In-Depth Analysis

The male and female lead has a different kind of relationship with each other. They need each other in such a framework, where the female lead feels alone and lonely in her job and feels sad for the disappearance of her fiance. The attitude Kusakabe Eiji holds for the department when he acknowledges the situation is unique. He solves this mysterious case along with the people he never expected to work with, and it has a strong change of heart from all sides. It has an intense script. The series shows a different take on love, which is applaudable to watch.

Star Power

The male and female lead, Sakura Momota and Hikitani Taro have different backgrounds. The female lead is strong, independent, and with a lot of pain and sadness. Her pain pauses until she meets the police department while receiving care and support from them. The complicated and twisted case presented by Sakura to the police department brings new determination and focus from the department, once considered as “socially withdrawn” officials, now solve the case and bring justice to her and also show that they are also capable of doing something extraordinary.

Overall Opinion

A different story with unique and mysterious tales. A worthwhile watch!!
