Drama Digest
The same cast of season 1 has been featured in season 2 Xia Lin (female protagonist), a C-list actress who works hard to achieve her dream of becoming a famous actress. She happens to meet Lin Yi Zhou, who is the president of a multinational corporation. There are the same characters from season 1 of the drama, and they meet again in an alternate universe. Both the seasons have their structure so you won’t feel blanked out if you decide to miss any. In this season, they are pushed together on public opinion. The story continues sweetly between this accidental couple.
The Feel-Good Part
The plot of season 2 is different from the first season for the villains, but the couple with the third lead has the same storyline. The chemistry between the main leads is so much upgraded and beautiful; the scenes are funny enough to give us a good laugh, and with more natural, and fewer mind games. The whole cast has done a commendable job and the acting is good. To top all this, it’s refreshing because of the alternate universe concept and enjoyable.
The Disappointing Factor
There is nothing much that can be said as disappointing, the fact that Ling Yi Zhou is too out of the box doing all the stalking, and being possessive and creepy at random occasions. Despite both the seasons not having a plot link, the story is pretty similar, making it predictable.
In-Depth Analysis
What they have done is to take the successful portion of season 1 of the drama and replicate it in season 2 with enhancement. The entire show revolves around the contract relation between the leads after Yi Zhou maneuvered her into it. The thing is that he didn’t have to resort to the evil leukemia plot to tie Xia Lin to him this time around. He grabbed the chance and convinced her for an engagement contract when something occurred temporarily.
Star Power
The story is much better and enhanced than season 1. The acting and chemistry are blooming in this season. It is refreshing to watch the same character with almost the same background but a little swapped plot. One can give it a watch for entertainment and cute funny mingle.
Overall Opinion
The plot is has good potential but the execution was average. I like it somewhat better than season 1 because of the chemistry and uplifted cute and funny scene. It is one enjoyable drama.
