The Wizard of Ten Thousand Worlds is a Chinese drama that explores the historical, Wuxia, Fantasy, and Romance genre. The Chinese drama is set in the backdrop of the early years of the Liang dynasty. The Emperor gets ascended to heaven. Ye Xingyun, a young man, gets the task of taking over the Da Luo Kingdom. He sets on a journey to avenge his country and decides to challenge the Qi Kingdom’s newly established reign. He assumes the identity of Prince Qi’s estranged brother and sneaks into the Qing Yu family to avoid confrontation. During this journey of Ye Xingyun, he meets two ladies who are pretty different from each other, Ye Xueyun, who is a genius and is afflicted with a strange poison and the quirky disciple of the great elder, Ye Yanran.

The Feel-good Part

The Wizard of Ten Thousand Worlds is a live action drama that has been adapted from the 3D animation version. The Wizard of Ten Thousand Worlds has a pretty good storyline and has been executed pretty well.

The Disappointing Factor

The major disappointing factor about The Wizard of Ten Thousand Worlds is the short duration of each episode. Considering the plot, it could only have been justified if the time were a little longer than it was. The other factor which disappointed the fans was the low production quality of the series.

The plotline of The Wizard of Ten Thousand Worlds is about Da Luo Kingdom’s last prince Ye Xingyun getting the task to take over the Tian Yuan Deity Origin. Ye Xingyun decides to challenge the new reign of Qi Kingdom. This plotline mainly revolves around the journey of Ye Xingyun avenging his Country. While on his journey, he meets two of the significant lady of this live-action drama, Ye Yanran and Ye Xueyun.

Star Power

The main character of Ye Xing Yun is played by the actor Luo Mai Yi and the female lead character, Ye Yan Ran is played by Chen Yi Ying. The supporting cast includes Fu Jing Ying as Ye Xue Yun, Wang Kai Lin as Yu Yin, Yang Hao Qi as Ye Xing Zhou, Liu Jia Le as Yan Xiao, Feng Li Ping as Ye Zi Yang, Dai Yi as Ye Tian Yun or the great elder, Wu Li Hua as Jiang An, etc.

Overall Opinion

Overall, The Wizards of Ten Thousand Worlds is a good watch if you like the Wuxia genre. It is the live-action adaption of a 3D animation, so in case if you already saw the animation, you would know the storyline. With total episodes of 40 airing for 10 minutes, it won’t take up much of your time, and you can indeed watch this series the following weekend.
