Drama Digest

The series portrays the changes in the state-owned ventures post-China’s economic reform. A Huafu auxiliary in Jingzhou faces an emergency because of changes in the market structure and issues inside the venture. The narrative revolves around Qi Ben An, a government official who joins the units and the majority, reinforces the government’s reforms, reestablishes the lost state-possessed resources, and leads the venture to get through the critical business situation effectively.

The Feel-Good Part

The best thing about the series has to be Qi Ben’an’s character, who never deviates from his plan of action as he takes his steps toward the efficient development of the enterprise. Furthermore, the way he uses his building experiences regarding the situation deserves appreciation as it keeps the audience engaged with the plot. It is very interesting to follow the plot narrative when the main character becomes more important than the narrative itself.

The Disappointing Factor

The series doesn’t have any disappointing factors as such. The cast, the storyline, the cinematography, everything is good and balanced, which holistically makes this series beautiful.

In-Depth Analysis

Established during the 1930s, the Huafu Company was among the primary cluster of state-owned undertakings in China. As the organization is going to introduce its 80th commemoration, its auxiliary, Jingzhou Huafu, falls into trouble. Huafu Chairman Lin Manjiang sends Qi Ben’an to Jingzhou to deal with the situation. After Qi Ben’an accepts his new job, he understands that he has many challenges lying ahead in his path.

Star Power

Jin Dong as Qi Ben’an nails his performance in the main role. The character has a small and grounded personality, which showcases how everyone has their little flaws and shortcomings, but eventually they make their peace with them. Geng Le’s role as Niu Junjie is also commendable as he keeps a balance in the show with his comedy. His character is that of an unreasonably careless man, but with a good heart. Yan Ni, on the other hand, showcases a bold and strong character. This adds to the dynamic range of the series, creating contrasts between characters and, overall, making the series look vibrant in its plot.

Overall Opinion

People’s Property is a very powerful drama series with strong characters. It is worthy of multiple viewings as it is very thrilling and entertaining.
