Drama digest

The feel-good part
The acting and background music impressed me. The chemistry between Darren Chen and Zhang Yi Shang was excellent. The side couple was cute. The drrama’s CGI was good enough.
The disappointing factor
In season 2, Zhan Yan’s godfather was not at all bearable. He didn’t have any reason to be a villain. His character was the most disappointing part of the drama. There were many plot holes, with things remaining unexplained.

The story was appealing, and the plot was unpredictable. The rushed ending is hated the most, and this drama didn’t do that. It had a nice and clear ending. The first half of the drama was set in 1000 years ago. The present-day storyline was enjoyable. General Duan Mu is a character for whom you can root. The drama had a never-ending fight. The romance between the main leads was impressive. The better scene of General Hu Lu was full of emotions and strength. The villain was slowly incorporated into the story. The villain was one-dimensional. The scenes were slow. The romance in the abyss was mature, but the romantic words felt cringe. The story started with a fresh depiction of the high immortal Duanmu Cui. The background of each and every character is cleverly filled. The story is in continuation with season 1, and it is draggy. The love story of Duanmu Cui and Zhan Yan was beautifully depicted with a happy ending.
Star power
The acting was good, but at times, it felt tacky. The chemistry between the main leads was phenomenal, and the overall acting was good. The side characters also did their job decently.
Overall opinion
No Boundaries season 2 is flawed but it is an excellent continuation of season 1. The story is interesting to keep you going.
