Drama Digest:

Six-months pregnant Hu Jia Ying, the wife of police investigator Zhao Yi Chen, vanishes one day and only leaves behind an 11-second emergency call. Nine years later, he gets a letter that takes him to a stranger’s house, where he finds out that his wife has been deceased for a year and left him with a daughter who is nine years old and silent. The drama chronicles Zhao Yi Chen’s friendship with Hu Jia Ying as well as his research into the peculiar circumstances surrounding her passing, during which he learns surprising details about her.

The Feel-Good Part:

As the story developed, things began to calm down and develop beyond the obvious. The filming is incredibly fascinating and fun.

The Disappointing Factor:

Although it’s entertaining, you probably won’t want to watch it again because the plot doesn’t go along very quickly and the characters aren’t particularly memorable.

In-Depth Analysis:

Hu Jiaying, Zhao Yichen’s (Ren Zhong) expectant wife, vanished several years prior. Zhao Yichen, who is currently living in the present, discovers his aphasic daughter thanks to an anonymous tip. He finds out that his wife passed away a year ago. In actuality, Hu Jiaying, who was born into poverty, is Xu Han, the eldest child of Xiguan business magnate Xu Yunfei. The younger twin sister of Xu Han is Xu Lian. They sound a lot alike, too, in addition to how they seem. The circumstances behind Xu Han’s death are murky, but the authorities have not amassed any solid proof.

At this point, Zhao Yichen’s long-running investigation into a criminal organization is starting to show some results. These persons work in the drug trade, the gambling industry, and human trafficking. Zhao Yichen learns that they are inseparably linked to the Xu family, which is headed by Xu Lian. Truths and falsehoods are entangled in the dense fog. Though it might not arrive right now, justice will eventually surface. Since The Perfect Couple, Wan Qian and Ren Zhong have worked together a second time. It was filmed in the Hebei province’s Shijiazhuang.

Star Power:

Actor Wan Qian portrays both the amiable and restrained Xu Han and the competent and tyrannical Xu Lian in “The Twelfth Second.” The calm and kind twin sister Xu Han is even more thoughtful in front of her partner Zhao Yichen. In order to “learn,” the younger sister Xu Lian will not hesitate to shatter the other party’s blood with an ashtray while dealing with a weak subordinate due to her icy and vicious nature.

Netizens have praised the two sisters’ “contrast and temperament” while they are in the same frame due to the character “temperature difference” exhibited merely by their faces. Just adore how these two personas differ from one another. These sisters Standing in opposition to one another is too striking. In the future, we can hope to see more scenes with two sisters conversing in the same frame. One of the major sources of tension in the program now centers on the identification of the two sisters.

Overall Opinion:

The narrative turned out to be far more fascinating than I had anticipated. I think a lot of viewers also went looking for the original. Not that there isn’t a slot, though. The first episode’s BGM is very trendy, nearly overpowering the performers’ voices. It gets a little better after the second episode, but not much. Noise that is both overbearing and out of step with the story progression is a constant. There will be characters that introduce subtitles because of concern that people won’t realize it is similar to a suspense drama. People find “straightforward” amusing. Being a suspense drama, it will undoubtedly create a mystery to pique people’s curiosity.
