Drama Digest –
Lin Yang and Lu Zheng An were close friends when young, and they had a brother-sister relationship. Being seven years older, Lu always considered Lin as her older brother and always pictured him as the little kid from the neighbourhood. They even played a game during their younger days of exchanging rings and getting married. Life takes a sharp turn, and they both meet each other after decades. Lin now has feelings for Lu and even wants to rekindle his friendship and love. He wishes to convince her and tries to win her heart.
The Feel-Good Part –
This drama has a love triangle between the male lead’s cousin, the male lead and the female lead. But it doesn’t have any last-minute breakups or misunderstandings. This differentiates this drama from all other ones. The chemistry is cute and innocent. The male lead knows the past struggles and pains female leads have gone through, and it is nice that he cares about her after all. The supporting characters have complimented the main leads and has improved the overall quality of the series.
The Disappointing Factor –
This drama is slow-paced and boring for some people. It doesn’t have any unnecessary melodrama, and it could be one of the reasons the audience can avoid it. The scenes being crafted by the director could’ve been better with pleasant aesthetics, but here they lacked the most. With a great storyline, this plot lacked seasoning.
In-Depth Analysis –
This drama lacks cliches, and the female and male leads are unproblematic. They have known each other since childhood, which gives a good foundation to their romantic relationship, and they fit each other well. The parents are supportive and it is different from the other cringe dramas. With good and supportive friendships, there is no backstabbing, and that makes the drama very heartwarming.
Star Power –
The female lead is independent and not a damsel in distress who needs to be saved by anyone every time. Being older, she is mature and understanding, and it is a spin for the drama where the female lead is usually younger than the male one. The male lead is also much more mature and calm than his age, and he is compassionate and nice to his lover.
Overall Opinion –
Someone who enjoys slow and beautiful love stories will find this a worthwhile watch.
