Echo of Moonfall (月陨回声) is a Chinese television series that aired on the original network of Tencent Video from the 29th of April, 2021, to the 22nd of May, 2021. With each segment of five minutes, the series goes on till the end of fifteen episodes. The story focuses on the lives of two close archeologists who drown in fantasy land while exploring the origins of a mysterious meteorite.
The Feel-Good Part
Although the short-length series comes under a popular franchise, viewers can, with ease, binge Echo of Moonfall. This story requires no backstory or prior character information. Moreover, the series’ scriptwriters later in the series hint at the possibility of romance in the plot development without spoiling the synopsis.
The Disappointing Factor
Since lots of promises usher in the genres of fantasy, fiction, and creativity, fans expected a lot from Echo of Moonfall. However, towards the end, fans feel the ending concluded abruptly without any possible or explainable motives of the characters.
In-Depth Analysis
Echo of Moonfall begins when the male leads, Liu Sang and Li Jia Le, go on an investigative project in the field of archaeology. Upon reaching their destination, they find a dusty wall hanging. The mural consists of the past of Moonbend Princess Qi Xia and youthful Jiang Wu, portraying the fondness the two had for each other. Besides the mural, they discover a meteorite that holds the secrets they have come to find. Little did they know, their adventures shall lead them into the century or timeline of Princess Qi Xia and Jiang Wu. The two embark on a timeless and fearless journey of iconic history.
Star Power
It stood essential for the casting directors to choose actors who already have an established persona in the industry for an adventure and fantasy drama. The starring cast involves Liu Chang as Liu Sang/Jiang Wu, Wu Ze Nan as Li Jia Le/Da Wu, Kong Qi Li as Doctor Gong Zijing, Zhang Dong as Fu Ze, and Kennedy Xu.
Overall Opinion
If you are someone who keeps an interest in imaginative universes, then Echo of Moonfall will be a perfect delight. Examples include The Hobbit or Harry Potter, or the Game of Thrones. It will, for a fact, satisfy viewers who want an escape from the real world.
