Drama Digest

Jiang is raised by his foster family after his adoption by a family at a young age and then moves back with his father. He develops a rebellious and pessimistic character after seeing his father  who, is involved in gambling. His life changes completely after he meets Gu Fei, a tough guy, and they live a transformational journey of healing and hurting. They develop a nice friendship and their journey starts.

The Feel-Good Part

The friendship shown between Jiang and Gu Fei is very pure and intentional. They both support and care for each other and have always been on each other’s side when the times have been negative for them. Jiang was in a wrong spot and wanted love and attention for surviving and thriving in his life when suddenly Gu Fei came and changed his life. Being challenging and successful didn’t come in the way of them being deep rooted, and attached to their loved ones. It is a beautiful story.

The Disappointing Factor

The story becomes meaningless and boring at a certain limit when the scene between Jiang and Gu Fei becomes repetitive. It is absurd to do and it also doesn’t make sense. The acting and production could’ve been better with more characters and more scenarios to show. The series is concise and doesn’t succeed in giving the show complete closure and it feels incomplete to provide less screen time. The show does get dreadful and unsatisfactory at some parts, which is unacceptable when a show has such a lovely story.

In-Depth Analysis

This story showcases the real and actual life of a young man dealing with many family problems, where he is stuck in his life and its issues. All the highs, lows, struggles, and pain is shown in the series. While Jiang is coming into new life patterns, this segment portraying his pains, rushes and intimidating moments looks real and honest. His life of living with Gu Fei due to this is also highlighted, where the usual struggles and pain is shown nicely. Despite having a tough time dealing with his life issues, he always keeps his head high and lives a life being positive and optimistic.

Star Power

The actors, whether main or supporting, are doing a great job in showcasing the emotions of the characters. They seem to have good chemistry, and there are no push and pull scenes and no such mean characters, which changes the plot twists and creates no drama. Both the main characters had their charm. While Jiang is more meek and shy, tired with her life at present and wishes to run away, Gu Fei is a bold, confident and energized tough guy determined to help Jiang succeed in his life. The character development works for the plotline.

Overall Opinion

A friendship story that inspires the audience to make best friends. A worthwhile watch!
