Kanno and Sakai, two of Japan’s most well-established actors, met on the set of The Castle of Crossed Destinies. Rumour has it that Sakai was the one to fall head over heels for Kanno, and the latter agreed to get into a relationship only under the condition of it being serious. When a former member of AKB48, Atsuko Maeda, and actor Ryo Katsuji announced their marriage to the world, the millions of people in their fanbase were shaken.
