Drama Digest-

Kimihiko Kimizuka always gets himself into trouble but eventually saves himself, but this one time, he is kidnapped by unknown men and is forced to board a flight, which is then hijacked. Being protected by Siesta, he embarks on a beautiful journey with her until she passes away abruptly. He tries to know more about her past and realizes her influence can never die.

The Feel-good Part-

The script is clever and exciting, with a different spin to a classic love story. The ending is not predictable, bringing thrill and interest to the viewer. A beautiful story with an excellent moral. Also, he becomes her partner and follower for her job. Watching them work with each other at first felt mysterious. The English title is very unique and ironic. It attracts the audience upon creating such confusion on the first impression.

Disappointing Factor-

Most of the series is tedious and tiresome, especially the first half. The side characters are rather disappointing. However, it’s complicated enough to seem like solving a puzzle. What’s unsettling about the storytelling is the way the anime depicts Siesta’s overall character role. From the beginning, killing a character like Siesta permanently would set off a massive red flag so the series avoids this by bringing her back in different ways. It’s clever on some levels but also disappointing. With one-dimensional characters, a not engaging story, and plain awful visuals, there is next to no praise that can be given for the series.

In-Depth Analysis-

Adapted from a manga series, the story is a powerful blend of action, drama, thrill, and adventure. The stark differences between the two main characters are portrayed beautifully. It is actually impressive of the promotional material it showed off, especially a gun-wielding girl fighting what seemingly took place onboard an aircraft. The artistic visuals speak another language. The personalities of Siesta, Charlotte, and Nagisa are characterized in such a way that makes them stand out. The colorful background is attractive too.

Star Power-

Kimihiko Kimizuka is diligent and empathetic despite being aimless and a source of trouble for his well-wishers. His life completely changes when Siesta comes and saves him from considerable danger. Siesta is gregarious, supportive, and steadfast for Kimihiko, and becomes a good companion. Watching this anime did show the depth of Kimihiko’s personality as he develops peculiar relationships among its cast.

Overall Opinion-

It is worth watching due to the dramatic plotline and good acting of the characters alone. Recommended for emotional viewers.
