Drama Digest

Hinamoto is in the era of turbulent warring states period and it needs protection from the European invaders.

There is a group that is using “Yatagarasu” as their flag symbol and using guns as weapons, residing somewhere deep in the forest, known by the name “Saikashu”. The position as the head of Saikashu is inherited by Magoichi who arrived from a foreign country.

On the other hand, there is Saburo, who senses the early signs of the European belligerence and is struggling to keep Hinamoto safe.

Fighting for the same cause, of protecting Hinamoto from European aggression, Magoichi and Saburo will cross paths and fight against their enemies as one.

The Feel-Good Part

The show feels like a story of two long-lost brothers. The bond between the man characters is solid and not only the main characters but the whole cast shares a really strong fellowship that is so genuine they almost feel like a family.

The Disappointing Factor

The animation of this show is awful. There are a lot of silly mistakes. Almost no sound effects. Horrifying background characters. It gets really difficult to be invested in a show with unimaginative anime background. And the 2D animation just fails you in every way possible

In-Depth Analysis

If we keep the animation aside, the storyline and charterers are good enough. Every main character has its own story and struggle and is shown to deal with them in their way. Each character has a good development and the supporting roles seem sincere.

The opening song and the ending song are superior. The voice actors are amazing and have done a wonderful job.

It is clear that the awful CGI just ruins the fun of an anime with good potential. Also, even though the storyline is good, the staff was not able to execute things properly and it has nothing sort of unique.

Star Power

The main leads are amazing and supportive. They know how to fight their battles and are headstrong characters. The supporting roles are good. It feels like a found family and their trust in ah other is incredible.

Overall Opinion

Even if the storyline and characters are good, the show lacks depth. This show had a good perspective but the bad CGI disintegrates everything.
