With primarily female and inexperienced players, the team gains confidence and trust with the help of recruits. But with no coach and with a limited number of members, Daigo must put all his training and resilience to the test to raise a perfect team. How does he do it? Will he be able to do it? Watch the drama and find out.

The Feel-Good Part

The sequel to the remake of the classic sports anime brings so much more to the table. In this season, Daigo has a lot to prove in creating a perfect team and improving himself to the best of his abilities to win. It’s fascinating to see how he works to achieve this dual task. The characters are also awe-inspiring and relatable. There is also a perfect soundtrack that enhances the overall quality of the film and makes a perfect impression on the show as a whole.

The Disappointing Factor

You may find this spinoff inferior to the original Major. If you can overlook that, you may have an excellent viewing experience. The animation in this film is not that bad, but there is room for improvement. While it is more precise and more refined than the original, it does have a very childish feel to it.

In-Depth Analysis

By focusing on one character and how he can get through adversities, the show teaches us a lot about teamwork, determination, perseverance, and so much more. The characters are in real situations that are relatable in the sports world. But it also has this element for bringing people up in this competitive world.

Star Power

Natsumi Fujiwara plays the lead role of Daigo Shigeno. Since this season places a lot of focus on him, Natsumi delivers one of the best performances and adds an extra human element to the character. Natsumi Fujiwara is well known for her voice acting in anime such as Spy X Family, 86,  Fairy Tail: Final Series, and so much more.

Overall Opinion

A sequel to the original Major will always be a step down from the original. However, with the second season, we can understand and get to know our characters, even more, live through their struggles, and empathize with them even better.
