Anime Digest

Kazuya was unexpectedly called to assist in the battle as Elfrieden’s gift to its allies due to an ongoing fight with the demon army that has put the entire world in danger. Kazuya intends to assist the kingdom restore its slowing economy through administrative reform rather than adventuring or war. After being unexpectedly crowned King of Elfrieden and given the princess’s hand in marriage, the “Realist Hero” Kazuya sets out to put together a team of talented people who will help him in his legal battles to put the kingdom back on its feet.

The Feel Good Part

The setting and the artwork are gorgeous. The animation is top-notch.The only unique aspect of this otherwise predictable and generic show is its premise.

The Disappointing Factor

The dialogues feel forced.

In-Depth Analysis

The anime highlights the most trivial aspects of governing a kingdom, such as paperwork and useless quarrels over little matters. After the eight episode aired in which the magic and powers exist to make the main character overpowered, it was interesting to see how an anime would approach a cliché that has been overused countless times. Because it is a harem anime, Kazuya has fans among the opposite sex and plans to live with one or all of them in the future. Every time that specific subplot is brought up, the show’s momentum stalls, and we are forced to sit through agonising scenes of awkward chemistry between one or more of his colleagues.

Star Power

The characters have good design and are good for mere fan service.

Overall Opinion

It seems fun to watch.
