Drama Digest

The year is 2030, and the setting is Nigashio City, Chiba Prefecture. Engineer Yun Arikawa of Otaki Factory, a local “do-it-all” store, analyses what’s going on in a long-abandoned Western-style house. Mei Kamino, a PhD student who studies imagined beings, investigates odd signals coming from Misakioku, the former administrative building of the Tsuguno district. These two people hear the same song while visiting very different locations as part of completely separate research. As they come together, they are lead into an epic conflict involving the entire globe. The youthful geniuses take on this unprecedented menace to the cosmos with their comrades in Godzilla Singular Point, which boasts a completely new cast and original scenario.

 The Feel-Good Part

The story is a unique and intriguing tale, albeit a little complicated. Time travel stories are usually difficult to follow, and this one is no exception. The first half is basic enough, but the second part is slowed down by pseudo-science and becomes practically incomprehensible at times without the MCs providing a knowledge dump in the form of SMS text messages between the two halves. This isn’t exactly subtle. Also, be aware that the conclusion is pretty abrupt. It’s not bad, but it’s not great.

 The Disappointing Factor

This anime is not terrible, but it’s not great either. This season is just a massive information dump. The characters aren’t great either. They aren’t characters, rather story devices that help viewers understand the plot. In fact, as compared to the actual characters, even the AI has more personality.

 In-Depth Analysis

Mei Kamino and Yun Gintoki Arikawa, both experts in their professions, must work together to prevent a disaster from Godzilla’s devastating rampage, as seen in the latest situation of a melody that sprouts forth classic Godzilla-variant Kaijus. Even when working at distinct stages, Mei and Yun are aware that answers will be difficult to find by due to their individual situations, and Toh EnJoe’s analogy of the mathematical physics structure merely confides the logic that the end product is one large picture. With their frequent contradictory information, both Mei and Yun’s pals assist construct the foundation of the various workaround theories studied and scrutinised in order to see the larger picture and eliminate the show’s Singular Point.

 Overall Opinion

It is  entertaining. It’s unquestionably superior to the previous attempt to portray Godzilla. Because of its pace and large array of high concept science fiction references, Godzilla Singular Point will generate a lot of small minded fake galaxy brain discussion.
