Anime Digest

Ino Sakura, an aspiring idol, decides to travel to Tokyo to realize her ambition of becoming an idol. She befriends the three residents of the “Mouse House” dorm, who are all surprisingly unpopular in their respective fields. It’s even more surprising considering that the dormitory could be dismantled. The manager Hoho-chan comes up with a recovery strategy by putting the four girls together to form the idol group “Fruit Tart” to avoid this. And so “Fruit Tart,” an idol group, made their stage debut.

The Feel-Good Part

It’s rare that every character is unique and has a particular preference. But the delight that our idols radiate is still palpable. Observing their daily lives is entertaining. Both fruits and this anime are rich. We see a lot of vibrant and joyful hues. The girls are shown as being exceedingly charming and cute, as is typical of CGDCT idol anime. This “stick figure style” is unique and can only be found here. This anime makes yoyojoyful. Additionally fantastic is the anime’s usage of background music. It gives the anime a more adorable appearance, which is also a bonus.

The Disappointing Factor

The narrative doesn’t seem to focus more on idol-related topics than other well-known idol anime, such as Love Live. Ochifuru has some overt Yuri elements and is quite ecchi. Please save your time and find something else to watch if neither of those two appeals to you.

The issue is that this series is low-budget, and you can tell just by glancing at their outfits because of how stiff the patterns are. Sometimes the humor is so awful that it’s difficult to enjoy the show.

In-Depth Analysis

Ino Sakura recently relocated to Tokyo to join the newly created Fruit Tart, an idol group that consists of three other members in addition to herself: Nina Maehara, a supermodel who is still looking for her first gig; Hayu Nukui, a failed musician, and washed-up child actor Roko Sekino. They soon start a new life together in the Mouse House, their dorm. However, there is no time to relax as the girls discover a startling truth: Fruit Tart is already deeply in debt by one hundred million yen! The girls must rise from the bottom of idol culture by establishing themselves and penning their songs, while Fruit Tart may disband, and the Mouse House may be demolished if they can not pay back the loan. Fortunately, Hemo Midori, a seasoned idol, joins the group because she is a passionate Sakura lover. Sakura and the other girls labor arduously to become famous idols while ensuring that every day is as enjoyable as the previous, all the while grinning.

Star Power

Characters in the anime have several distinctive qualities that make the show funnier and more intriguing. The upbeat female main lead Ino Sakura is wholly fixated on the nice things other girls do. Roko Sekino, an unlikable kid actor, cries whenever her miniature stature is brought up. Unpopular model Nina Maehara is highly concerned about her height, which gives her the appearance of being the eldest member of the idol group. Unpopular musician Hayu Nukui seemed worried about losing her close friend Ino Sakura to her devoted followers.

Overall Opinion

Hanayamata was also created by Hamayumiba Sou, the creator of Ochikobore Fruit Tart, which explains why the two anime have a similar tone. You might like this anime if you liked Hanayamata in the past. Whether you choose to watch it depends on your anime viewing tastes. This anime will be pleasant for you if you don’t mind its fanservice in it.
