Drama Digest

This series revolves around a young boy named Dai, an orphan and the only human who grew up on an island with residents being monsters. His grandfather, the monster magician brass, told him about an evil lord named Hadlar who was defeated by a hero known as Avan. Remembering the stories of Avan, he dreams of becoming a hero.

At the request of Leona, a princess who had been previously saved by Dai, Avan comes to the island along with his apprentice, the magician Popp and starts training him.

However, Dai’s training was cut short because of the sudden revival of Hadlar by the Great Demon King Vearn.

Avan sacrifices himself to save his followers. To honor his sacrifice, Dai and his friend decide to defeat Hadlar and the evil force behind his revival and bring peace to the world.

In the process of defeating the evil forces, he understands the true meaning of a hero and also his hidden powers.

The Feel-Good Part

The good part about this series is that it doesn’t have any complex or sophisticated scenarios. But only a hero willing to eradicate the evil and restore peace to his land. In addition, the action sequences are performed very well, which makes it pleasant to watch and the characters are also very well developed.

The Disappointing Factor

The series is full of clichés,           with characters being similar to other anime based on shonen. Like, Dai is a typical hero who is brave, has a good nature, and never gives up, his friend Popp is a coward and shows his true powers when he is exposed to the severe situations and Maam, despite not being good at fighting battles but is good at making decisions.

In-Depth Analysis

The storyline is quite basic and straightforward with few twists and turns. The battles are impressive when it comes to technicality. This series is very light-hearted with less violence.

The characters are well developed. They go through a lot of hardships in the journey of fighting the battles, making them physically as well as mentally strong.

Star Power

The voice acting is excellent. The voice given by every voice actor suits the characters very well.

Overall Opinion

Although it has a cliché storyline, it will keep you invested. This series serves as a source of emotion and inspiration. It is a treat for those who enjoy action-driven series.
