Drama Digest

“Detective Conan: The Scarlet Bullet” is a Japanese animated film and the 24th installment of the Detective Conan series, which is based on a Manga by the same name written by Gosho Aoyama. It is one of the popular long-running anime series. It is also known as “Case Closed: The Scarlet bullet”. This part of the series shows Japan celebrating the upcoming world’s biggest sports game called World Sports Game (WSG) in Tokyo.

The Feel-Good Part

While it is confusing in some parts, the film is also fun and adventurous to watch. If you are aware of the series from the previous set of movies or anime, it is easier to watch and understand the plot. But even if you are a new viewer, it does not affect the experience to that extent. One unique thing about the movie is they included the latest idea of the Hyper linear bullet train as the highlight of the film. The animation of the film is excellent and provides a thematic and outstanding visual experience.

The Disappointing Factor

The film is a part of the long-running anime franchise, and some scenes are hard to decode as they have relations with the previous releases of the series. Some scenes for druggy and uninteresting as it is a common theme in the whole series. They revealed beforehand the conclusion and the enemies in the show, which made it uninteresting to watch further.

In-Depth Analysis

The story starts with Japan preparing to celebrate the World Sports Game (WSG). Along with that, Japan’s most advanced technology, called the Hyper linear bullet train, will also operate coinciding with the WSG’s opening ceremony. It will run at the speed of 1000 km per hour from Shin Nagoya station to the newly built Shibahama station in Tokyo. In that event, an unusual incident occurs where the top executives from a party that is held by the major sponsors are getting kidnapped one after another. Shuichi Akai waits in the shadows and what is the crisis unfolds slowly. The FBI agents wait for his orders. Meanwhile, detective Conan investigates the case and finds South a connection between the same type of kidnappings that occurred 15 years ago in Boston. Along with that, it was also revealed that the investigation back then was handled by the FBI.

Star Power

The movie uses most of its pre-existing characters, yet the voice actor still deployed their performances well. Minami Takayama, Wakana Yamazaki, Ran Mouri, and Megumi Hayashibara, being the oldest VAs for the longest time, bring the same dedication to their roles every time. They deserve all the praise for their remarkable performances.

 Overall Opinion

Overall, this movie is a fun, adventurous one. If you’re an old fan of the “Cold Case”, this would not disappoint you. And even for new viewers, it can provide an interesting story and can be watched as the main story.
