Drama Digest

“22/7” is a Japanese anime television series based on the Japanese Idol girl group, formed during the media mix project by Yasushi Akimoto, Aniplex, and Sony music records. The group includes members who performed as a musical group. It includes actresses who provided both voice and motion for the characters.

The Feel-Good Part

The girl group 22/7, exists in reality, and that’s why it received much recognition for the show. The show has no proper elements of a story or stakes to define it. It is driven by the single most potent background known as the wall and even after having gross some strugglers, the girl group succeeds every time because “The Wall’s” orders are absolute and truthful. The production values of the show were quite strong. It shows the streak lifestyles in Japanese culture and how ideal groups must abide by all the rules or they will be eliminated. The show had a typical base targeted to music, but it exceeded the viewers’ expectations and provided us with more than just idols performing on stage.

The Disappointing Factor

Although the show had excellent ratings, there wasn’t much to the background story. The characters were blind and there was no explanation for particular critical elements of the show.

In-Depth Analysis

The story revolves around Miu Takigawa, a part-timer who struggles at work. She even struggles to smile at the customers while doing her job but works tirelessly for her mother and her little sister, Haru. Suddenly, one day, she receives a letter notifying her; she has been chosen for a project from the entertainment company named GIP. Miu accepts the invitation and heads to the venue of the meeting spot, where other candidates were selected through the same procedure and were called by their letters. Soon after, the girls were escorted to a luxurious secret facility by a manager and were explained the rules and regulations. All of them must follow the direction of the mysterious “The Wall,” who gives complete orders. The group was to debut on the 24th of December 2016. On that day, the world will see the birth of idols not like any other. Despite being ready or not, Miu and the other member must take the stage that day.

Star Power

The idol group 22/7 is based on animated characters voiced by actresses. The lead roles played by 8 actresses who are: Saijou Nagomi, Yoshimiya Ruri, Anaki Sally, Miyase Reina, Shirosawa Kanae, Chiharu, Kawase Uta, Kuraoka Mizuha, plate the characters for all 8 members in the group. All of them played their roles excellently and delivered outstanding performances as idols.
