Anime Digest

Happy go lucky days is a combination of three separate short stories. The movie follows the theme of “love is love”. Story 1 follows a Yuri couple who meet at the wedding of the same girl they dated before.

Story 2 follows a student-teacher relationship in an all-boys school.

Story 3 follows two young children who are attracted to each other and their feelings change as they move toward adolescence.

The Feel-Good Part

The only feel-the good part was that the movie ended and there were no further episodes.

The Disappointing Factor

The whole movie is disappointing. The storyline, the execution, the characters everything was just downright bad. There is nothing good in the movie.

In-Depth Analysis

The stories could have gone somewhere but they end up to nothing. The Yuri couples’ story was the only one that was passable but the other stories were a mess. using the LGBTQ+ theme of “love is love” was just unfair to that community because here they associated it with pedophiles.

The high-school teacher is a pedophile and is attracted to his students. Now while they are grown-ups, it’s still creepy. It’s an awful LGBTQ+ representation.

The 3rd story is the worst, a 20+-year-old, sexually assaulted her 5th-grade cousin, and the parents did not even get a hint about it.

Star Power

As this is a short film with three different stories, there is almost no character development and whatever we grasp from the story is that the characters are pathetic.

Overall Opinion

Do not waste your time watching this. It’s a horrible movie and is not worth watching. The movie is boring with a very bad storyline.
