Drama Digest
The story follows the phenomenal adventures of The Iron Triangle: Wu Xie, Wang Pangzi, and Zhang Quilling. A decade after trading their explorations for an ordinary life, fate brings this trio back together to unravel a mystery against the force of time in the City Of Thunder. All the way, from tomb-raiding to ancient historical dramas to horror and humor, ‘Reunion: The Sound Of Providence’ has it all to offer.
The Feel-Good Part
The story is enough to keep you on the edge of your seat, with each progressing episode. It will make you think, about what happens next, what did this character does, and why?
Reunion has all its viewers hooked on each scene with its perfect blend of action, humor, chemistry, and horror Esque mysteries. This series is quite engaging and exciting. If anything, it’s the friendship of this infamous triangle and the character development that pull you in to empathize and understand their roles. OST of the series is another commendable aspect of the plot, blending in so perfectly with the entire story and through the journeys of its characters. The paper figures scene specifically gave off a thriller feel. Action scenes, suspense creation, and chemistry are all amazing, the special effects showcased are very realistic.
The Disappointing Factor
The first eleven or twenty episodes are just purely entertaining. The original plot of the story flows smoothly without any complaint but, the ball soon drops after. With the whole Warehouse investigation, the actual storyline seems abruptly lost in a maze. The tomb raids and underground exploration scenes are cut short randomly, and the plot is solely focused on the warehouse. The story also has a few characters and long side stories, which are not relevant to the main storyline. Because of this, the viewers lost from the former engagement to the drama. The Iron Triangle is also not together in most of the second half of the show, which makes it even more disappointing considering this is a ‘Reunion’ after the last series. Viewers waited more specifically to see the trio on screen again. This show is similar to Untamed which starts with BL vibes but is thrown under the bus later due to censorship issues.
