In-Depth Analysis

The show focuses on the members, their outlook on each other and their views. It is an hour-long remembrance of the time they shared and endured to emerge as one of the internationally famed Kpop boy bands. Yet what went behind the bond that continues to inspire and posit unique attributes reflects through the members’ viewpoints. The theme that brings them together in a purple set is the celebration of their 8th anniversary as BTS. Memorabilia, group photos, slogans, merchandise and unnecessary books adorn the decorum. Amongst these, three books are kept as keywords to give chronological shapes to their stories.

The show starts small with their perception of each band member, their hobbies, nicknames, specialities, school life, promises and other tidbits. Gradually it leads to the show’s theme, which we know they were aware of but had to fake as a surprise! The members go through the things put in the set while talking about how each object reminds them of something. Using the keywords, it goes over the many stories, starting from their early debuts to the current position. They talk about how they came up with the fandom name Army and what were the other options. Going over the different slogans, they go over the ones that stood out and almost brought them to tears. Each member points out how BTS and Army have been there for each other and supported each other through hard times. RM talks about the crucial times of the band when they were starting and were surrounded by different opinions and haters. It highlights at every corner the importance of the fandom and their thankfulness towards them while reciprocating that it hasn’t been easier on their side as well. Yet they encourage the Army to hold on and share some of their ways to stick through hard times. Apart from these, they speak of what inspires them to come up with songs and how it helped them spread an international fandom. They reflect how not every piece of music necessarily carries deep meanings but is just there for enjoyment and having fun. The synergic rhythm those carries are what makes it stand out. After such boomerangs of sharing, laughing and being nostalgic, the show ended with hopeful ‘wish notes’ for making more memories in days to come.

Star Power

BTS members Kim Nam Joon aka RM, Jeon Jung Kook, Kim Seok Jin, Min Yoon Gi aka Suga, Jung Ho Seok aka J-Hope, Park Ji Min and Kim Tae Hyung aka V are present in the show.

Overall Opinion

It is a big call for the Army fandom to watch their idols sharing notable moments of their journey.
