TV Show Digest

NCT 127 sets sail for Somuuido, a lovely and mysterious island. However, their amusement in the beautiful environment does not last long. They’re stuck on an island with a great secret, and they’re all alone. They must find five treasures in 72 hours with the help of an antique journal written by a ship captain. Can NCT 127 make it out alive?

The Feel-Good Part

The feel-good parts are the funny jokes and the light-hearted environment set by the boys, completely contrasting with the actual mysterious theme. The coordination among the members is amazing. Watching how quickly they can solve the mystery is fascinating, and their keen observation is surprising. Haechan is the quickest to solve the clues, while Daeyoung is smart and organized. The goofiness of the members, even under pressure, is hilarious.

The production team also did a great job with the amazing drone shots and setting the challenges.

The Disappointing Factor

The only saddening aspect is that the show is scripted, which is why some moments may seem cringe to the watchers. Sometimes, the clues are way too obvious but overall it is a great show.

In-Depth Analysis

The NCT 127 sets sail for Somuuido Island. It is also called the ‘legendary island of fairies,’ an eco-friendly island with no vehicle access. The series starts with the NCT 127 members shooting for their music video. However, after dinner, all the people of the island disappear. Their set is destroyed, and no crew member is to be found. They don’t have any access to their belongings and phones. The boys, however, manage to find a map and try to survive.
Throughout the show, the mysterious, eerie sound plays. In contrast to the mysterious theme, the boys are carefree and chaotic and have fun solving and finding the treasure.

Star Power

Taeyoung, the leader of the group, carries the show. He holds the group together and helps solve bitter quarrels among the others. He perfectly leads the music video too! Tae is thoughtful about the strengths and weaknesses of his group. For instance, How Tae makes sure Haechan is comfortable singing on a high scale how Tae again adorably asks Mark about his mental health.

Mark and Haechan’s funny jokes and quarreling are entertaining to watch.

Overall Opinion

The boy’s humor and the chaos is fun to watch. The energy some characters carry throughout the episode is great. It is easily one of the best variety shows and worth watching.
