TV Show Digest

Bistro Shigor is a reality show. The show follows celebrities as they operate a pop-up restaurant in a small rural area. Choi Ji Woo, Cha In Pyo, Lee Jang Woo, Lee Soo Hyuk, Jo Se Ho, and TVXQ’s Changmin join the show as the restaurant, which has been recommended by some of the country’s greatest chefs, provides superb French cuisine made with local ingredients. You can also enjoy witnessing what celebrities do when it comes to running a restaurant, including everything from cooking to serving customers to managing everything.

The Feel-Good Part

The bistro is the town’s first exposure to French cuisine. The dishes are approachable and pleasant in appearance and flavor. The chefs trained in crafting Bistro Shigor’s trademark menus incorporate local ingredients to give the pleasant time that French food brings, while also creating something that isn’t too far out of the ordinary for people accustomed to Korean food. The kitchen team’s united effort is visible in the quality of the food they provide, which is essentially modified French cuisine to suit the taste preferences of local customers. The customers and their responses are wholesome to watch.

The Disappointing Factor

Some local people find it hard to adjust to the show’s wholesomeness with its unique food dishes. Other than that, the drama is good.

In-Depth Analysis

Bistro Shigor, which means “restaurant in the countryside,” is a reality show. The show is filmed in Samcheok, Gangwon-do, where visitors are welcomed by the seashore and nature. The townspeople’s favorite gathering spot, the village hall, has been turned into a pop-up restaurant. The cooking team—Cha In Pyo, Lee Jang Woo, and Changmin—got the recipes from a French chef who is also known as the “master of French gastronomy,” while the serving team of Choi Ji Woo, Jo Se Ho, and Lee Soo Hyuk have learned luxury hotel services and classic French dessert recipes.

The head chef is played by actor Cha Inpyo; as the team’s leader, he serves as the foundation of comfort and spiritual basis, bringing the team together and guiding them through the hardships they confront. The sous-chef is played by actor Lee Jangwoo. He, along with head chef Cha Inpyo, is in charge of achieving the correct savory flavor in the fast-paced kitchen. As much as he enjoys cooking, his abilities and approaches are very unique. In addition, Choi Jiwoo fills the position of the bistro’s manager. In her executive role, she is in charge of the general management and supervision of Bistro Shigor. Choi Jiwoo, a firm believer in hospitality, looks after customers, bringing them an unforgettable experience with a delicious lunch full of comfort and kindness.

Star Power

Bistro Shigor intends to highlight the “budget” restaurant’s beauty by serving Michelin-starred French course meals for 19,900 KRW (about $17). Samcheok’s dishes are transformed into uniquely French cuisine, which provides a rich culinary experience similar to that of a trip to France.

Changmin, who joins the cast as a special chef and adds final touches to all the dishes, enhancing the appearance and joy the customers feel during their meal, is star power.

Overall Opinion

The show is full of heart-warming and comforting scenes, and you can feel the warmth and solace that the mouth-watering dishes radiate. It is easy to indulge in the excitement and joy that the Bistro Shigor provides. It’s a good and recommendable show if you love cooking.
