The Disappointing Factor
The storyline as it neither develops nor dwells on the back story of the mansion or the characters. Also, each story is not explained well and lacks depth.
In-Depth Analysis
Ji Woo is a webtoon writer whose first title fails, and he is dating Da Hye. Both are excited about his upcoming birthday. Ji Woo is determined to ensure that his next work is inspired from real life.
In the process, he hears about the Gwang Lim Mansion, and the spooky episodes that occurred with the residents. Woo chooses to investigate the occurrences, and meets with the mansion’s former caretaker for an interview.
During the interview, the caretaker shares the macabre stories with some of the former residents that forms the movie plot. It shows five incidents, and each of these are connected with the other.
Star Power
The cast is led by Sung Joon who plays Ji Woo, and is supported by the others.
Overall Opinion
The movie is a good one-time watch, even if you are not a fan of the genre.
