Movie Digest

Inspired by the 1983 Hosan Prison Riot, the short film portrays the battle for survival for South Korean executioner Kangjae Ma. This incident has been taken on PUBG and is a game.

The Feel Good Part

Short film, with loads of gripping action, and splendid acting by Don Lee

The Disappointing Factor

The graphic, violent scenes are gruesome, and a bit much to take but then it is a prison riot.

In-Depth Analysis

Located in the Taego coast is the scary Hosan prison, which houses the most violent criminals. In this prison, enters Kangjae Ma, an executioner for the South Korean mob. His last kill ends up in the death of a wrong person, and he is sent to the Hosan prison.

Ma’s mistake does not go down well with his employer, and the only way out is to kill him. Even though he was in the notorious C-block, he was not out of bounds for the mob.

On a cold, wintery Christmas Day, the other prisoners set off a riot to kill to Ma, and the prisoner who succeeds earns a reward. The film traces Ma’s battle to survive.  not.

Star Power

The movie is solely on the shoulders of Don Lee, and he owns it.

Overall Opinion

It is a short film, filled with action and graphic scenes and if you are PUBG fan, then do give the movie a watch.
