Movie Digest
It is a story of a 25-year-old girl named Miu Komaru, a civil servant taking care of her old grandpa living on the outskirt of Fukui city, leading nobody’s life. Still, her life takes a turn when her only friend commits suicide from the roof of their workplace, feeling guilty for taking part in falsifying the document. Being aggrieved by the death of a friend, she finds the secret behind her lineage that she comes from is a long-line ninja family. Like, every newly found hero stands for the people in need and justice.
The Feel-Good Part
It’s a movie with a good plot with a girl finding that she is from a ninjas family and stands for the weak and fights for justice. Even though the main lead has led an aloof and quiet life, hesitating to stand against wrongdoings will bind you as you will find her character similar to many people’s everyday life. The movie shows the persistent nature of Miu Komaru becoming the ninja, which will make you curious about her moves and impress you with what she achieves in a film later. It is a comedy movie that will make viewers laugh hard. The acting of the leading actress is too convincing, which will make you believe in the story.
Disappointing Factor
The main lead is Miu Komaru, who is living aloof life and the sudden death of her friend, followed by finding the truth to be from the lineage of the ninja family and has to be a ninja out of nowhere without being given any other choice. She starts practicing becoming a ninja at the age of 25 with the manual of making ninja dressing where the actual fighting manual is lost. The end of movie is deadpan as the main lead ninja struggles to be a good ninja. The storyline could have been better than what has been shown in the cinema. The character development is too poor despite the fact that the actor’s good acting; can be seen clearly in the whole movie.
In-Depth Analysis
This movie centered around the corruption in the system leading deaths of many non-Japanese characters in the cinema. In contrast, the main lead Miu Komaru finds out about a long line of Ninja families from her dying grandpa. She makes an effort to be a ninja to fight the evil policymakers. It is commendable that she has shown using her daily moves as fighting moves. Though this movie has some fights, violence still has humor that will make you laugh at most inappropriate times.
Star Power
The journey of lead from a simple girl to a ninja is exciting to watch. The fight scenes showing her improving skills will also make you go away. The persistent nature of the character will amuse you throughout the cinema.
Overall Opinion
If you like to watch movies/ dramas about becoming heroes from nobody, then the movie is for you. It is a fun journey of a girl who became a ninja from nobody.
