The Feel Good Part

The performances by the lead actors are stellar, and if you are a fan of the actor Kento Yamazaki, then the movie is for you. The concept of time travel is also interesting, and a treat for sci-fi enthusiasts.

The Disappointing Factor

The constant switch between the past and the present (which is the future) is quite confusing, and takes a lot from the viewer.

In-Depth Analysis

Adapted from a book of the same name, in 1995, Soichiro Takakura is a scientist who is developing a futuristic robot for his late father’s friend’s company. He has Riko (the friend’s daughter) who supports him.

When Soichiro is close to creating the robot, he is cheated by his business partner and fiancée Rin Shirashi. He loses control of the company and the patent of the robot. Riko is threatened by the business partner, and chooses to keep quiet.

Soichiro opts to freeze himself to sleep for a better future, and wakes up in 2025. The movie traces his journey of making peace with the past by using the present (future) with the help of the robot (he had created).

Star Power
