Shugo Hayami works as a doctor in a nursing hospital. This hospital previously was a psychiatric hospital. When Shugo is on night watch, a man in a mask breaks into the hospital one evening. The masked man shot Hitomi Kawasaki, a university student. The masked man instructed Shugo to treat Hitomi. He also holds the 64 people in the hospital hostage. Soon, Shugo and Hitomi attempt to flee the hospital, encountering mysterious cases one by one.

In-Depth Analysis
This film is an adaptation of the novel ‘Kamen Byoto’ by Mikito Chinen. The narrative arc that reveals the hidden reality is fascinating and has just enough tension to keep the audience on the edge of their seats. Many of these secrets and disparate elements appear irrelevant or incompatible until the conclusion when put together. A small cast of characters helps keep track of and allows filmmakers to devote more time to developing the two crucial characters, Shugo and Hitomi, while also providing viewers with just enough information to figure out who the other characters in the film are. The film makes use of unnecessary flashbacks that offer little to the plot. The movie runs at a fast pace. The script and editing feel fragmented because of many exciting twists and turns. It is maybe due to the large number of plot strands and concepts it tries to bring together.
Star Power
The lead characters, Shugo Hayami, played by Sakaguchi Kentaro, and Hitomi Kawasaki, played by Nagano Mei, did a great job with their roles. They were able to instill various emotions and carry the plot well.
Overall Opinion
This thriller mystery is entertaining enough. It gives the audience enough thrills, suspense, and surprise to keep them engaged and satisfied.
